Numbers 3:48 KJV
THE REDEMPTION OF LIFE & THE REDEMPTION OFFERING
In the Old Testament, a life could be ransomed with money, also known as a redemption offering. This sort of money, in that day, was set apart from the usual temple money and was in custody of the high priest, or the Levitical Priest of the temple. In much the same way, Christ has paid for our redemption, not with money, however, but with the shedding of His own precious blood on the cross at Calvary. In this manner, Christ has become our Redeemer, and the Master of our soul. Our life and soul has been transferred from the possession of the Devil to the possession of our Loving Heavenly Father, Who has spared no expense for our ransom.
